Data is the seminal element in developing an Academic Master Plan. Both quantitative and qualitative data will serve to frame an objective, collaborative dialogue about new and existing academic and academic support programs and services. These data will include trends in the districtís service area population and employment; enrollment trends and projections; and program reviews of each of the districtís academic and academic support programs and services.
These data can lead to the integration of the Academic Master Plan and the Facilities Master Plan through an analysis of current space used by each program/service, the projection of future space needs, and the placement of academic and academic support programs at each of the districtís sites. Together, the Academic Master Plan and Facilities Master Plan form the Districtís Educational Master Plan and will serve to clarify the institutionís identity and direction for the coming decade.
