College Brain Trust consultants will work with districts and colleges to optimize funded FTES through effective enrollment management practices while meeting state priorities and improving student success. Our recommendations, based upon your unique circumstances, will assist you in achieving your desired outcomes. Services may include the following:
- CBT will work with college leaders to develop the project according to the institution’s unique needs, goals, and circumstances, defining a clear set of objectives.
- Consultants will review and analyze college documents and reports relevant to the specific enrollment management issues and goals. These documents might include the college catalog, schedules of classes, the academic calendar, and apportionment claims (CCFS-320 reports and supporting documentation). Based upon this review, the consultants will provide an assessment of the college’s enrollment management status and develop recommendations for future action.
- Consultants will meet with college leaders, relevant college departments/units and individual staff to provide the results of the analysis, present recommendations, and assist in developing strategies based upon the recommendations.
- Consultants will present enrollment management workshops tailored to specific audiences within the college community. Topics might include definition of enrollment management, participants in enrollment management, information/data required for effective enrollment management, balancing fiscal considerations with meeting student needs when planning a schedule of classes, the academic calendar, scheduling/attendance accounting mechanics (WSCH, FTES calculation, 50-minute hour, attendance reporting types, etc.), reporting and compliance (CCFS-320 Report), current related statewide topics, and judicious use of efficiency/productivity measures. As appropriate, the workshops may also include examples based upon college issues, recommendations, and strategies resulting from the review/analysis component of the project.
