Mojdeh Mehdizadeh
MOJDEH MEHDIZADEH is the Associate Vice Chancellor/Chief Information Officer for the Contra Costa Community College District with 20 years of experience in higher education, including diverse experience in institutional research and planning. She began her career at Diablo Valley College in the area of student services, then institutional research, and has been serving in a district-wide capacity for 11 years, with the most recent 8 as Chief of Information Technology and Research.
Mojdeh is an experienced, well-rounded leader with excellent communication skills and a proven track record. Her information technology experience includes
implementation of large Enterprise Resource Planning systems; leading the
development and implementation of a large-scale technology plan; overseeing
a multi-million dollar technology budget; and providing exemplarily technology
services including a full array of student online services.
Experienced in a variety of student and educational services and programs including management of a Cooperative Education program with over 2,000 annual student participants and15 faculty; management and coordination of a Career and Employment Center; and an Assessment Center. She has an excellent track record of working with various constituency groups at all organizational levels.
Some of Mojdeh’s accomplishments include major restructuring of the Information Technology Department to meet new and emerging demands, planning and implementing a new student information system, an enterprise email system, a districtwide document imaging system, and other enterprise applications. Additionally Mojdeh manages a service bureau providing technology applications and services in the areas of human resource, finances, and payroll to fifteen K-12 districts in Contra Costa County as well as the County Office of Education. This mutually beneficial relationship saves financial resources for K-12 and generates a steady stream of revenue to the College District.
Mojdeh has served on and held officer positions in numerous state and national
organizations including President of the national Datatel Users’ Group Board and Chair of the California Community College Datatel Users’ Group.
She is a member of the CCC Apply steering committee and is one of the original members drafting the feasibility study that led to the development of the statewide online admissions application.
Mojdeh holds an MA in Organizational Communications from Cal State East Bay and a BS in Computer Information Systems from San Francisco State University.
