Ed Myers

Photo of Ed MyersCurrently ED MYERS is an Adjunct Instructor in the Masters Program in Higher Education at Santa Clara University, teaching one class per quarter on weekends.   His instructional work for Santa Clara has covered 12 years on a part-time basis teaching classes in Ethics, Community Colleges, Leadership, Governance, Student Services, History and Philosophy, and Student Development.

Ed retired in 2003 from West Valley College in Saratoga, California, having served as the Vice President of Student Services for 17 years.  His related California experiences included terms on the Commission on Athletics, ACCCA Board member, CSSO State President, CSSO Board member, a representative to Council of Organizations, and other activities.

Before coming to the California system Ed worked for five years at Flathead Valley Community College in Kalispell, Montana, where he served as the Dean of Student Services, Interim President, and Dean of Educational Services.  

His four year institutional experiences include:  St Cloud State University where he served as Asst. Vice President of Student Life and Development and at Iowa State University where held positions in student activities and married student housing.  Ed has also served as a research assistant in NCHEMS at WICHE while working on his doctorate.

Ed continues to work extensively with educational and community groups on strategic planning, servant leadership, leadership skills, and team building. 

Ed and his wife, Barbara, reside in Kalispell, Montana, where they are active in community non-profits and are visited often by their four daughters and families and seven grandchildren to enjoy the mountains of northwest Montana and Glacier National Park.
