CBT consultants Dick Giese and Ed Buckley had expertise that was immediately accepted by the planning groups. They facilitated an effective planning process and helped us see how to implement the Commission’s recommendations in a way that worked for our collegiate culture. More importantly, the consultants were able to communicate directly and in a positive, objective way the serious nature of the accreditation issues we were facing and create a productive dialogue with our teams. As a result, the on-campus meetings between CBT and our teams went extremely well because they didn’t spend all their time with me – Dick and Ed were out working with the people who would be implementing the plan on a day-to-day basis, and helping them move forward in the process of creating those plans in a way that conformed to the ACCJC standard. The successful outcome are multiple plans that we created ourselves that are not just sitting on a shelf, but are being implemented, even now.
