Step 1: Consultant reviewed paper description of Chabot’s program review processes, including data utilized, questions and inquiry developed, spreadsheet of program reviews completed and a completed program review. Consultant also reviewed the college’s strategic plan and a few recent unit plans that incorporate program review, as well as other relevant documents. Step 2: Consultant facilitated an on-campus meeting with a committee to review the strengths and improvements needed in the college’s program review process. The also discussed how best to make this process clear and in a format that is understood, explained, utilized and valued by all faculty. Step 3: Consultant developed an action plan to improve the college’s program review process. The first priority was refining and fully implementing program review for academic programs, student services, and administrative services. The second priority was full integration of program review, resource allocation, and planning processes. |

In collaboration with faculty, staff and the president of Chabot College, the College Brain Trust consultant undertook an analysis of the college’s program review processes and helped the college take the initial steps to develop a plan to improve those processes.
